A city’s social progress is shaped by the people that call it home, and Chicago is no exception. A movement of artistic collectives is elevating Chicago's marginalized communities to reshape the city's social climate, including the founders of Chicago's longest-running weekly party Queen!, queer Black femme collective Party Noire, LGBTQIA+-centric label and artist collective FutureHood, and drag performers Bambi Banks and Kenzie Coulee.
